Be a Part of Lauren's Miracle

This is Lauren Bells, a three year old who has just been diagnosed with a Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).   This is an aggressive brain stem tumor which commonly affects children ages 5- 10 years old.  It is estimated that there are less than 100 cases per year in the U.S.

The statistics are dire:

• Due to the nature of this cancer, there are no surgical options available.
• With radiation, the median survival rate is less than 12 months. 
• The chance of survival beyond 1 year is less than 8%.

These however are the cancer's statistics, not Lauren's!  Lauren may only be three years old, but she is a FIGHTER.  Children diagnosed with DIPG are young and innocent.  They go to kindergarten, first grade or are just learning their ABC's.  They are your granddaughters, grandsons, nieces, nephews- even your sons and daughters.  There is no rhyme or reason as to who gets DIPG and there is no warning.
